Lesley, thank you! This is just what I needed to read this morning. I identify with many of your reasons for your malaise. I’m feeling it too!

The 5-minute rule is so helpful. Maybe it will help to pull me out of my funk.

You take care.

Lesley I've just discovered this space and I'm loving your writing. I find myself in this place you describe often, but I know it's always temporary and my creativity will eventually pull me out. Thanks for the reminder x

Hi, I wondered what dyes you use? I am experimenting with eco/plant dyeing on paper, mostly, and material for use in bookmaking.

Hi Leslie. Thanks for writing. I use Procion dyes, created for fabric but can be “used to colour all natural fibres including fleece, tops/roving, felt, fabrics, mawata caps, silk cocoons, clothing, even paper and willow!”

I would follow the fabric directions and modify as needed. Sounds like a great idea.

I’ve been pondering the same issues, and thinking the same things...just start! My time commitment is 10 minutes, but that can easily mean all morning or afternoon, once I get started. Thanks for writing!

10 minutes is a fantastic commitment and yes, you know how once started, can’t stop.

Thank you so much for the video. I’m guilty of all of the excuses for procrastinating.

Especially at this time of year when I have plenty of time but no motivation.

Thanks for sharing this. I can certainly start with 5 minutes.
