Well said, Lesley. I fling all of the doors open - not so good at closing them! I too felt surprised then grateful to find I keep growing and learning. I realised just this week that my art feels like it doesn't quite speak for me at the moment because I'm growing and my voice needs to grow with me.
This move to a smaller space and a life restricted by my decreasing vision...I know that I can craft the experiences into a new, maybe only slightly new, direction for my art making and thinking. It is difficult, but I believe I can do it.
This post was right on time for me. Thank you.
Glad it was timely. Good to hear from you. It's been too long.
There are doors that are meant to open only for you.
There are two quotes that have always stayed with me. Both from Socrates.
"An unexamined life is not worth living."
"All I know is that I know nothing."

We all know where the juicy part of life is( behind what door). I glance, sometimes stare, and always imagine “ what if” I opened that door?
Your inspiration today has made me ask “ if not now ? When?”. Time is moving fast. Thank you for this post
It took me a while to learn not to look back so much. My day is filled with opportunities as I move forward into the true me!
