Thank you for pointing out my ignorance on birds. I assumed they operated on instinct only. I’m so happy to know they share many of our qualities, including emotion! I feed and talk to my backyard birds every day My guidebooks never mentioned these qualities. I have a lot of learning to do.
Such an enriching post. I had the wonderful experience of having my 7 year old great- niece spend the night with me this weekend. We both love making art together, cooking together, lots of conversations...
I loved this! It touched me on so many levels. As an 80 year old I’m thrilled and awed with life and trying new things, hopefully until I move into the great unknown adventure!
I think in some way everything is connected!!
Definitely! Thanks for the comment.
You lost me at “what separates us from the birds?”
Do you actually think that birds don’t share all those qualities with us?

Celia broke my shell so I can fly along with her.
Thanks CeCe. Little ones are great at reminding us of what’s important. You’re both very lucky to have that bond.

Thanks so much, Marlene. Thrilled and awed is a wonderful way to live. You are definitely flying!
Some days this is easier than others, but I always come back to it as I know it's to only way to keep growing and becoming :)
