Why do some people stand out? Have you ever been in an anonymous crowd and noticed a person, a stranger, or perhaps even someone you know, and realized that they are glowing? They may be minding their own business, walking on their way somewhere, or just heading to the grocery store checkout line. But they stand out. Of course, you yourself have to be aware to notice them.
I’ve had that experience a few times. First, I notice the glow. The glowing person senses me and takes note. We make eye contact and smile at each other, perhaps with a nod of the head, confirming our awareness and glow of connection.
Depth psychologist and writer Anne Davin writes, “Glow is a state of being. It’s an inside job. It can’t be scrubbed into appearance, nor will any diet or exercise regime conjure it into existence (though yes, drinking water helps).”
Glow is a light in your eyes. A lightness of step. A gentle smile. An aura that illuminates the space you encompass as if you are moving through life with an expanded sense of time, space, and energy. In order to glow, you need to be aware of your surroundings, the people, places, and things around you. This awareness is an outer projection of your inner state and contributes to the glow. Maybe people who glow are angels here on earth, serving as reminders that we, too, are divine beings.
Be the light that shines brightly.
Get your glow on.

Just the other day I read about 'glimmer' and now glow! I think I need to pay attention. The idea of glimmer is that delicious feeling one has on occasion when you feel a warmth spread over your heart and your mind feels refreshed and you might even take a deep breath.....sigh!! Tingles or goosebumps. I wonder if enough glimmers add up to a glow?? At any rate, I've been paying attention to my glimmer moments and am so happy to say....they come more often than not. Glow little inch worm......
Glow IS a state of being. Thank you for bringing attention to this phenomena. I believe it begins as you open your eyes and say” today’s a great day to be alive!”
Holding that thought, your day slides into synchronicity. However, our day usually begins with something problematic to hop up and do. It’s not until we notice it outside ourselves we remember the choice is always there for us to choose❤️
